Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate maintenance for a safety function in a simple structure by connecting a safety valve separately from a control valve. CONSTITUTION: A safety valve 16 operating as a safety device is connected between a hydraulic control valve 15 and a wheel cylinder corresponding to a second brake circuit 13. The safety valve connects a by-pass conduit 17 by- passing the control valve 15 when pressure in a first brake circuit 5 is deficient to a second brake circuit 13, and simultaneously intercepts the communication between the second brake circuit 13 and a chamber 23. Accordingly, load is applied to a wheel cylinder of a rear wheel 14 through the by-pass conduit 17 by pressure of a second braking pressure generator 3. Thus, the safety valve 16 is simple in structure and easily observed so that it can be checked separately from the other devices of the skid control device and replaced. Accordingly, the maintenance for the safety function can be facilitated.
