Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in assembly operation efficiency by installing a pressure fixing projection in either side of the backside of a cover and the opening edge of a battery jar, and pressing and fixing a fitted state at a time when the battery jar is fitted in the cover and a combined vessel is formed. CONSTITUTION:A cover 1 and a battery jar 2 is fitted together via a bonding agent, forming combined vessel, that is, when a storage battery is assembled, a pressure-fixing projection 9 is installed in at least either side of the cover 1 or the battery jar 2, and when an opening edge of the inverted battery jar 2 is fitly mounted on fitting parts 3a, 3b and 3c of the turned-over cover 1, the opening edge of the battery jar 2 and the cover 1 are made so as to be unseparately united in one via the projection 9. With this constitution, it is held at both sides of the inverted battery jar 2, lifting it up at once without waiting for complete hardening of the bonding agent, and thereby the combined vessel is speedily and easily shiftable, thus battery assembly operation efficiency is improvable.
