Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an unburnt tile having gloss on a skin surface by a method wherein the inner surface of forms for producing a tile is covered with a plate having no water absorption properties and excellent smoothness or a flexible plastic film. CONSTITUTION: A cement curing substance is placed in tile forms, by applying vibration, air is expelled, and consecutively, pressurization and curing are effected. The working forms are formed of a plate provided on an inner surface with no water absorption properties and excellent smoothness or a flexible separate material, such as a plastic film, is laid thereon. The cement curing substance is pressurized for a given period after concreting and held until a necessary strength is provided. A tile manufactured by this method holds a surface having smoothness and gloss even after removal of forms.
