Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform stable fixation by controlling an external heating device according to the temperature detection results of a heat roller and the external heating device. CONSTITUTION:The heat roller 10 has a mandrel 12, an elastic part 13 fixed on its outer peripheral surface with an adhesive, etc., and a heater 11 installed in the center of the mandrel 12. A 1st detecting means 41 such as a thermistor contacts the elastic part 13. The heat roller 10 is driven by a driving part to rotate as shown by an arrow A. A detecting element 14 detects the surface temperature of the mandrel 12. A pressure roller 20, on the other hand, is pressed against the heat roller 10 and formed by coating a blank pipe of aluminum, etc., with synthetic resin. The pressure roller 20 is driven by the heat roller 10 rotate as shown by an arrow B. The external heating device 30 is constituted by coating an aluminum blank pipe with synthetic resin and has the heater 31 installed in the center and abuts on the heat roller 10. A 2nd detecting means 24 which detects the surface temperature of the heating device 30 contacts the surface of the device 30. A control part 40 controls the heater 31 according to the detection results of the detecting means 41 and 42.
