Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable further firm cast-in joining by pouring molten metal around casting body formed by fitting ceramic beads as laminar-state around the ceramic base body to execute the cast-in inserts. CONSTITUTION:Molten cast iron 16 poured into a mold, at first burns and gasifies polystyrene member 4 constituting out part of the casting body 6 and is substitually filled up in the developed space to form the cast iron layer 6. Further, the molten iron is substitually filled up in a gap while burning and gasifying heat resistant inorganic adhesive 3, which fills up in the mutual gap between alumina beads 2, to form composite layer of the alumina beads 2 and the cast iron 16. On the other hand, a part of the molten iron filled up in the gap between the alumina beads 2 is brought into contact with the surface of the ceramic base body 1 and is acted with the ceramic base body 1 together with inner compressing stress generated at the time of shrinking by solidification is fasten it. This fastened force is still remained after the molten cast iron 16 is perfectly solidified and cooled, and by this method, the ceramic base body 1 and the cast iron 16 for cast-in inserts is firmly joined.
