Abstract

PURPOSE:To report the occurrence of abnormality of the running state by operating the running pattern of an automatically guided vehicle based on the output of a camera which picks up the image of the automatically guided vehicle running in a running area and storing this running pattern with running patterns stored in a running pattern storage means. CONSTITUTION:The image of the automatically guided vehicle is picked up by a camera 20, and the video signal outputted from the camera 20 is inputted to a present position calculating means 21 and is subjected to picture processing to calculate the present position of the automatically guided vehicle running in the running area. A running state discriminating means 22 operates the running pattern of the automatically guided vehicle based on the present position, and this operated running pattern is compared with running patterns of automatically guided vehicle which are stored in a running pattern storage means 23. It is discriminated whether the running state of the automatically guided vehicle is normal or not; and if it is abnormal, the running state discriminating means 22 outputs a signal to an abnormality reporting means 24 to operate this means 24. Thus, abnormality of running of the automatically guided vehicle is reported.
