Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a lever 35 is tilted to the right to be set in a range (a), a clutch selector valve 31 is selected to a position F by a limit switch 36 to supply a pressure oil to a forwarding clutch 6. A potentiometer 37 for setting a main engine speed is interlocked with the lever 35 by a servo mechanism. The potentiometer 37 outputs an idling signal 38. An idling limit switch 39 is turned on, and an added engine speed setter 40 outputs a signal 41. The signal 41 is added to the idling signal 38 by an adder 42, which in turn outputs a signal 43 providing an engine speed slightly higher than an idling speed. Thus, the engine speed of a main engine 1 is controlled to be maintained at a value slightly higher than the idling speed according to the signal 43 and a signal from a main engine speed detector 44.
