Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent fine dust from entering a housing and internal mechanisms from deteriorating owing to the dust by providing a circulation air flow generating means which circulates air into the housing through a heat source and a cooling means which has its cooling surface positioned in the circulation air flow, and repeating the circulation to the heat source side. CONSTITUTION:A couple of fans 35 and 36 as the circulation air flow generating means and a motor for driving the fans are arranged in the lower chamber 23 of the housing. The cooling means, i.e. freezing element 38 is provided right below a photosensitive drum 2 and above the base frame 1b of the housing so that the cooling surface faces the passing surface of the air flow A and its heating surface is fixed directly to the base frame 1b. Then the air flow A circulates only in the housing and is blown to heat sources 2, 5a, 6, 12, and 16 and the air flow A which rises in temperature by heat exchanging is cooled again by the freezing element 38 and returned to the heat source side. Consequently, the heat sources 2, 5a, 6, 12, and 16 can be cooled in the equipment through a closed loop without opening the inside of the equipment to the inside of the chamber.
