Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled preparation containing bensultap and a stabilizer such as hydrochloric acid or hydrobromic acid, keeping the bensultap from decomposition even after the storage over a long period, essentially free from phytotoxicity to plant and useful as an insecticide for agricultural use.
CONSTITUTION: The objective preparation contains (A) S,S'-[2-(dimethylamino) trimethylene] bis-benzenethiosulfonate of formula (general name, bensultap) having excellent vermin-controlling activity but relatively poor stability and (B) a stabilizer selected from hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, allenesulfonic acid, dichloroacetic acid and oxalic acid. The stabilizer is preferably a combination of hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid from the viewpoint of the safety to human and animal and the problem of soil acidification, etc. The amount of the stabilizer is 0.05W10wt.%, preferably 0.1W5wt.% based on whole preparation.
