Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a solid preparation containing bensultap and a stabilizer such as titanium oxide or zinc oxide, keeping the bensultap from decomposition even after the storage over a long period, essentially free from phytotoxicity to plant and useful as an insecticide for agricultural use.
CONSTITUTION: The objective preparation contains (A) S,S'-[2-(dimethylamino) trimethylene] bis-benzenethiosulfonate of formula (general name, bensultap) having excellent vermin-controlling activity but relatively poor stability and (B) a stabilizer selected from titanium dioxide, calcium oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide and boron oxide. The stabilizer is preferably zinc oxide from the viewpoint of the phytotoxicity to plant and the safety to human and animal during and after the application. The amount of the stabilizer is 0.1W100pts.wt., preferably 0.5W50pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of bensultap.
