Conventionally, wiping colored decorative materials in which the recesses (troughs) of embossed decorative materials are colored are widely known and have been applied to a variety of materials. If the material is originally something with not very high physical properties, such as vinyl chloride sheet or vinyl chloride wall covering material, the requirements for the physical properties of the colored part are not as strict as above, but if the material is a melamine resin decorative board, In the case of a thermosetting resin decorative board such as a diallyl phthalate resin decorative board, there are strict requirements regarding the physical properties of the colored portion, and it has not been possible to obtain a satisfactory product. The reason for this is that the colorant has properties that make it difficult to achieve both wiping suitability and physical properties. In other words, in order to improve wiping suitability, it is necessary to reduce the resin content and increase the pigment content and extender content, whereas in order to improve the physical properties, it is necessary to increase the resin content. It is. It is common practice to coat the entire surface with transparent resin in order to protect and strengthen the colored parts of the recesses, but when this method is applied to the above-mentioned thermosetting resin decorative board, it has excellent properties. Since the surface of the decorative board is covered with a transparent resin, the excellent surface properties inherent to the decorative board are lost as a result.

The present invention was completed for the purpose of solving the above problems, and provides a wiping decorative material in which the concave portions are strongly colored and the convex portions do not impair the original excellent properties of the decorative material. It is about the method.

First, as shown in FIG. 1, a decorative material 3 having a concave portion 1 and a convex portion 2 is prepared. The decorative material 3 may be a single sheet without a printed pattern, or may have a printed pattern,
Furthermore, it may have a surface protective transparent layer. Next, as a method for coloring the recesses 1, as shown in FIG. 2, the colorant 4 applied to the entire surface is scraped off with a doctor blade 5, so that the colorant remains in the recesses.
A scraping roll 6 as shown in FIG. 3 may be used instead of the doctor blade. In any case,
The coloring agent used must be designed with scraping suitability as the main focus. The colorant is
It is generally known that scraping suitability can be improved by reducing the resin content and increasing the pigment content and extender pigment content. The method of applying the colorant to the entire surface is arbitrary; when the decorative material is web-shaped, gravure coating, roll coating, knife coating, etc. are used; when the decorative material is plate-shaped, methods such as gravure coating, roll coating, and knife coating are used. For this purpose, roll coating, flow coating, gravure offset coating, etc. are used. Furthermore, as will be described later, since transparent resin is filled in the recesses where the colorant remains by wiping, the proportion of volatile components (solvent, etc.) in the colorant is increased to the extent that wiping is possible after drying. It is necessary to form recesses, and specifically, by preparing the colorant so that the proportion of volatile components exceeds 50% by weight, it is necessary to A recess with about half the volume can be formed.
When the colorant left in the recess is dried as described above, its volume is reduced by the amount of volatilization of the container, and a space is created above the colorant in the recess, as shown in FIG.

Next, transparent resin 7 is applied to the entire surface of the decorative material whose concave portions have been colored as described above, and the transparent resin on the convex portions is removed in the same manner as in the case of the coloring agent, as shown in FIG. As shown, the transparent resin is left only in the recesses. Next, the transparent resin and the aforementioned colorant are integrally cured by heating or the like to obtain a wiping colored decorative material 8 as shown in FIG.

Although any transparent resin can be used, it is desirable to use one that has an affinity with the colorant 4 and can be cured integrally with the colorant 4 to exhibit sufficient physical properties. Specifically, when the decorative material is a melamine decorative board, thermosetting resins such as urethane, resin, acrylic resin, polyester resin, and epoxy resin are used. These transparent resins are inherently not good at scraping, and in reality, a small amount remains not only in the concave parts of the decorative material but also in the convex parts, but because it is transparent and the amount is very small, it is not good for the design. Also, there is no physical problem at all.

Regarding the point of curing the transparent resin and the colorant in one piece, since both are a combination of substances that have an affinity for each other, the transparent resin has also penetrated into the colorant layer, and therefore, the transparent resin and the colorant are hardened together. The colorant portion is also automatically hardened. As the curing method, any curing method such as heat curing, ultraviolet curing, electron beam curing, room temperature curing, etc. can be used depending on the curing method of the transparent resin.
