Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a lag in injection end timing and to prevent deterioration of combustion by compensating the injection start time according to a change rate of injection time at the time of computing the fuel injection start time. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a crank angle sensor 10 and a cooling water temperature sensor 11 are input to a control device 8 to compute the fuel injection quantity according to the operating condition of an engine. At that time, the injection start time is computed by each cylinder in such a manner that injection is completed at a designated crank angle position of a predetermined stroke. At the time of computing the injection start time, a lag in the injection end timing is estimated according to the change rate of the injection time to compensate the injection start time. Thus, even if the injection time is increased by acceleration, fuel injection can be ended at a designated crank angle position.
