Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A di(meth)acrylic acid ester shown by formula I [R1 is 4-10 alkylene; R2 is H or CH3; average value of (a) and (b) are 0-5, respectively and average total value of a+b is 0.5-5 number; average value of l is 1-20]. USE:Useful as a vehicle for printing ink and coating compounds. Liquid at normal temperature and readily handleable. A coating film obtained by the compound has excellent flexing properties. The compound has improved curing properties. PREPARATION:A carbonate diol shown by formula II is reacted with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid under heating preferably pressure a polymerization inhibitor such as hydroquinone at 50 deg.C-130 deg.C, preferably 65 deg.C-90 deg.C to give a compound shown by formula I. The compound shown by formula II, for example, is synthesized by subjecting an adduct of beta-methyl-delta-valerolactone with a diol compound and a diacryl carbonate to ester interchange reaction.
