Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I [R1 is H or group shown by formula II; R2 is H, OH or alkoxy (with the proviso that R1 and R2 are not H at the same time); R3WR5 and R3'WR5' are H, alkyl or alkoxy; X1 and X2 are H or group shown by formula III (A is O or S; B is O, S or imino which may contain substituent group; R6 hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group which may contain substituent group; m and n are 0 or 1)] or a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 2,4-Bis(benzylthio)-N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-1,5-pentanediamine.
USE: An insecticide and an acaricide effective for controlling sanitary insect pests, insects living in animals and acarids.
PREPARATION: For example, a compound shown by formula IV (R1b is H when R1a is H and R1b is group shown by formula VI when R1a is group shown by formula V; R7 is as shown for R2; R8 is H; R7 and R8 are bonded to form 0 of carbonyl) is reduced with a proper reducing agent to give a corresponding compound shown by formula I.
