Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the change of a resistance value in a sealing process into a glassy body of an element chip by simultaneously baking an element sheet and electrode paste in a neutral atmosphere, a reducing atmosphere or a low oxygen atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The oxide or carbonate of Mn, Ni, Al, etc., is compounded and mixed at a specified rate, and calcined at 850 deg.C and wet-ground, a proper binder is added and mixed, and the mixture is molded to a sheet shape through a doctor blade method, thus acquiring a green sheet. Electrode paste composed of Ag-Pd, etc., is applied onto both surfaces of the green sheet. The electrode paste is baked simultaneously in a neutral atmosphere, a reducing atmosphere or a low oxygen atmosphere such as an atmosphere at 1300 deg.C in the whole process or partial process of simultaneous baking, and cooled up to room temperature in an N2 atmosphere (the neutral atmosphere), thus obtaining a sinter in which a large number of electrodes are formed at specified positions on both surfaces of the sheet.
