Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously change the driving current to an exciting lamp and the pulse width, by a method wherein, when a driving current to an exciting lamp is turned OFF, by controlling the ON-OFF operation to the exciting lamp of the driving current charged in a capacitance, residual charge of an inductance coil is applied to the exciting lamp. CONSTITUTION:A discharging current stored in a capacitance 4 is supplied to an exciting lamp 10 by controlling of a gate signal timing circuit 7, a thyristor 5 and a turn-off circuit 6. When the supply of the discharging current from the capacitor 4 to a exciting lamp 10 is turned OFF, the residual charge stored in an inductance coil 9 is discharged to the exciting lamp 10 by a circulating diode 8. Thereby, making the inductance coil 9 one, and making the whole equipment small-sized. Further, the discharging current to the exciting lamp 10 and the pulse width can be controlled by using the turn-off circuit 6 and the gate signal timing circuit 7.
