Abstract
PURPOSE:To make exchanging operation following the breakage of a collet simple and speedy by providing a spring between a draw bar and a connecting rod, and a collet holder for connecting the draw bar to a pull stud for the collet. CONSTITUTION:At the time of machining, the relative rotation between a draw bar 18 and a pull stud 21 for a collet is inhibited by means of a polygonal connecting rod 30 provided therebetween, and at the time of exchanging a collet 26, the connecting rod 30 is pushed into the draw bar 18 against a spring 32 by means of a suitable jig. After the draw bar 18 and the pull stud 21 for the collet come into such a state as to be relatively rotatable, the pull stud 21 for the collet and a collet holder 33 are removed from the draw bar 18, and then, the collet 26 and the pull stud 21 for the collet are drawn out from the front of a spindle 15 and the collet 26 is exchanged. After exchanging the collet 26, the collet 26 is fixed to the draw bar 18 by the effect of a reverse operation.
