Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the critical temp. and critical current by subjecting a sheath filled with ceramic type superconductive powder to cold stretching, and by performing rolling with a specified pressure drop ratio. CONSTITUTION:A pipe as sheath made of Cu or Ag is filled with ceramic type superconductive powder, and cold stretching is performed until desired wire dia. is attained. This is followed by rolling process with a pressure drop ratio of 5.0 or over. Finally the powder within the sheath is again baked regularly, followed by annealing. This enhances the critical temp. and critical current.
