CONSTITUTION:A thickener mainly made of silica, for example, and water are added to the lead-tin alloy powder or lead-silver alloy powder or lead-tin- silver alloy powder, the mixture is stirred into slurry, and an alloy film layer is uniformly applied on the surface of a Pb-Ca alloy lattice with a spray gun. Since the alloy powder is used, the film layer can be easily formed, and the adhesive strength of the powder can be increased by adding the thickener. A lead storage battery using the Pb-Ca alloy lattice excellent in overcharge- resistant performance is thereby obtained.
