Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate thermal influence between adjacent dot-form heating elements, to enhance a heat radiation effect around the heating elements, and to improve a printing quality, by forming grooves thermally separating the respective heating elements on an insulating substrate. CONSTITUTION:On a side surface of a cylindrical insulating substrate 1, a common electrode 2a, discrete electrodes 2b, and dot-form heating resistors 4a electrically connected between both the leads are formed. Grooves 5 of a fixed depth are formed between the adjacent dot-form heating elements to thermally separate the respective dot-form heating elements. Additionally, a cut surface 6 is bonded on an end face etc., of another substrate, and the leads, the common electrode 2a, and the discrete electrodes 2b formed on the substrate are electrically connected by soldering, etc. Since the respective dot-form heating elements are completely separated through the insulating substrate, the thermal influence between the adjacent dot-form heating elements is eliminated ; thus, bleeding in a dot arrangement direction is reduced and reproducibility in printing shape is enhanced.
