Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable both condensers to be separately used as desired by a method wherein an air-cooled condenser and a water-cooled condenser are connected in series, a bypass passage is arranged at the air-cooled condenser, a refrigerant bypass pipe under an operation of the water-cooled condenser and a pipe at an outlet of the air- cooled condenser are provided with valves closed when the water-cooled condenser is operated. CONSTITUTION: When an air-cooled condenser 5 is used, a second control valve 17 is closed, a first control valve 6 is opened and a blower and a compressor 4 are operated, resulting in that refrigerant from the compressor 4 is made to flow as indicated by a solid arrow mark. When a valve 27 at a water distribution pipe 25 of a tube 11 is closed to prevent cooling water from flowing, the water-cooled condenser 8 does not act as a heat exchanger. In turn, when the water-cooled condenser 8 is used, the first control valve 6 is closed, the second control valve 17 is opened and the blower and the compressor 4 are operated, the refrigerant flows as indicated by a dotted arrow line, the refrigerant is guided from the compressor 4 to the water-cooled condenser 8 via a bypassing pipe 13 and the refrigerant is condensed and liquefied with cooling water flowing in the tube 11. Accordingly, it is possible that the air-cooled condenser 5 and the water-cooled condenser 8 are separately used.
