Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the retrieval time of an information buffer by providing an information buffer queue for each terminal equipment corresponding to a terminal number into an information buffer so as to constitute queues duplicatedly in both lateral and longitudinal directions in the terminal equipment in the same terminal number as the terminal number. CONSTITUTION:Information buffers 11-13 correspond to three terminal equipments of a subscriber A, information buffers 21-23 correspond to three terminal equipments of a subscriber B and information buffers 31, 32 correspond to two terminal equipments of a subscriber C. When a terminal equipment corresponding to the information buffer 31 is cut off, an exchange uses its terminal number as a key to retrieve a queue. Since the cut-off information is set corresponding to be cut-off of the terminal equipment corresponding to the information buffer 31, the information buffer 31 is discriminated to be an object of retrieval. An exchange removes the information buffer 31 from the chain so that each item of the succeeding subscriber of the information buffer 21 and the tail of the pointer 10 designate the address of an information buffer 32.
