Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the detection following to the change in the region of a reproducing signal by using an input signal whose frequency varies with respect to a multiple of N/M (N, M are integral numbers) of plural sampling frequencies used at sampling and providing a circuit detecting a prescribed period in the region of a reproducing signal obtained from a magnetic recording medium and giving a resulting signal. CONSTITUTION:An output of a variable oscillator is given from a terminal 2 and it is selected (3) by using a control signal at a terminal 4 and frequency-divided (5). An output of the frequency divider 5 is given to frequency divider circuits 7-9 with a prescribed frequency division ratio and an output of a selector 10 is selected by a control signal 11. In selecting an input frequency to the terminal 2 so as to change the input signal to the frequency divider circuits 7-9 with a reference to a multiple of LCM of the sampling frequency at pitch control, the output of the selector 10 is varied by the pitch control value with respect to a prescribed frequency reference. A counter 36 is reset from a terminal 39 at each rotation of the drum via a gate 40 and a decoder 37 detects a PCM region in the reproducing signal without missing. Moreover, the circuit 38 detects the PCM region in the reproducing signal of a head B. Through the constitution above, the PCM information region in the reproducing signal by the pitch control is accurately discriminated.
