Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve performance of a battery by adding coagulant to a water slurry which is obtained by mixing a powdered battery active material and fibrous material, subjecting same to a paper-making process, and drying it. CONSTITUTION:After a water slurry which is obtained by mixing a powdered active material and fibrous material is added with coagulant, it is subjected to a paper making process, and dried. As the powdered active material, manganese dioxide, lead oxide, nickel oxide are used on a cathode side while zinc powder and the like on an anode side. As the fibrous material which is used for adsorbing and coagulating the powdered active material, organic fibrous material such as wood pulp, or inorganic fibrous material such as carbon fiber is used. Further dying is performed in an area of 20 deg.C-150 deg.C in temperature and 30-200kg/cm<2> in pressure in accordance with necessity. It is thus possible to improve performance of a battery.
