Abstract
PURPOSE:To give high removing capacity for perchloroethylene, etc., to a chain polymer soluble in chlorinated org. solvent by forming 1.0-5.0X10mol. crosslinking in 1mol. chain polymer by adding a crosslinking agent thereto, etc. CONSTITUTION:1.0-5.0X10mol. crosslinking is formed in chain polymer soluble in a chlorinated org. solvent by the addn. of a crosslinking agent or by the irradiation with radioactive rays or electron beams. A treating apparatus for waste water and waste gas is constructed by installing an absorption/filtration tower for solvent packed with obtd. polymer capable of absorbing the chlorinated solvent. Suitable chain polymer soluble in a chlorinated solvent such as perchloroethylene, trichloroethylene, etc., is vinyl acetate/vinyl chloride copolymer, polystyrene, polyester, etc. Suitable crosslinking agent is peroxide, triazine compd., etc.
