Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the noise light by providing reflecting walls between electroluminescence(EL) pixels and behind them. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting walls 29 between and behind multiple EL pixels 20 formed with electrodes 24 and 25 outside the upper and lower insulating layers 21 and 22. In this case, the reflecting walls 29 use a metal material at least on the surface and are brought into contact with the lower electrode 24. The height of the reflecting walls 29 is made larger than the height of the EL pixels 20. The light leaked from the back faces and both sides of the EL pixels 20 is reflected by the reflecting walls 29, and almost all the luminescence can be taken out from the front face. The luminous efficiency is thereby improved, and the noise light can be reduced.
