Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a still picture with a small noise by recording a TV signal of the still picture on a magnetic tape N (N>=2) times and reproducing and averaging the TV signal at the time of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The TV signal of the still picture is A/D-converted and stored in a frame memory 3 or field memory, and then the signal which is read out N (N>=2) times and D/A-converted is recorded on 2N (N) tracks on the magnetic tape 7 by a rotary head. When the reproduction is performed, the signal recorded on the 2N (N) tracks is read out in order, A/D-converted, and then inputted to a delay circuit which delays the signal by one frame or one field; and the output signal of this delay circuit and the A/D-converted signal are added together to obtain a reproduction signal. Namely, the TV signal of the still picture is stored in the memory 3 temporarily, and then read out plural times and recorded on the magnetic tape 7, and the recorded signal is added to the delayed signal. Consequently, random noises generated by a tape head system are suppressed.
