Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent fluid for discharging from being deteriorated and to enable making low power consumption, miniaturization, and making multi-colored to be easily performed, by a method wherein deformation and transfer of magnetic fluid is performed by magnetic force, and fluid for discharging such as ink or the like is jetted. CONSTITUTION:When current is applied only to electromagnets 6a, 6b, magnetic line of force is generated from the electromagnet 6a to the electromagnet 6b as given in the figure (a), and magnetic fluid 7 forms a shape intercepting a midway of nozzle 1. Then, when the magnetic line of force is successively transferred as given in the figures (b) and (c), the magnetic fluid 7 under a state of intercepting the nozzle 1 is transferred as it is to the orifice side 2 by a fixed distance, and ink 3 is jetted from the orifice 2 to printing paper 8. When the magnetic line of force is generated as given in the figure (d) after jetting, the magnetic fluid 7 forms a shape in which it is divided into two parts by two magnetic paths, and the ink in the nozzle comes into a conductive state. Further, when the magnetic line of force is generated as given in the figure (e), the magnetic fluid 7 under a state of being divided into two parts up to that time is transferred as it is to a fixed distance to an inlet side of the nozzle 1. Then, when the next cycle comes, the magnetic fluid 7 returns to the state of the figure (a).
