Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily and surely mount and exchange toe protective covers by forming hot melt adhesive layers peelable by heating or solvent penetration on the inside surfaces inclusive of the inner edges of the lower apertures of cover main bodies covering the tope parts of baseball shoes. CONSTITUTION: The to protective coves are made into the threelayered structures obtd. by separating the other parts excluding the upper peripheral edges of the transverse apertures 2 and parts of tongue pieces 3 for fixing of the cover main bodies 1 to front layers 4a and rear layers 4b along the layers of leather and adhering these layers by adhesives 4c consisting of urethane prepolymers, thus reinforcing the toe cover part pieces 4. The hot melt adhesives 8 are formed like bands at the inner edges 7a, 7b of the lower apertures 6 of the cover main bodies 1 and the inside surfaces 7c of the toe cover part pieces 4 formed into the three-layered structures. To mount the toe protective coves at the toe parts of baseball shoes, cloth, paper, etc., are applied on the outside surfaces formed with the hot melt adhesive layers 8 and the toe protective covers are pressed and fixed while pressing a heated iron thereon or applying hot air with a drier, etc., by which the mounting and exchanging are easily executed.
