Abstract

When the character part pointed out by the cursor includes plural conversion candidates based upon the KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion processing of a KANA/KANJI conversion part 4, the information instructed and inputted from the input part 1 is utilized for the selection and instruction for the plural conversion candidates and then the cursor is moved to the succeeding conversion candidate position or the succeeding character string part necessary for editing processing. Thus, the cursor movement to a position specified by a sentence inspection or plural conversion candidate positions and selecting processing from plural candidates can be properly switched and executed by the same key operation. Consequently, key operation can be sharply simplified and the working efficiency of document edition can be improved.
