Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily execute the expanding/contracting display operation of images by individually displaying an original image and its expanded or contracted image in plural display devices. CONSTITUTION:An original image 3 and its expanding and contracting area E and its expanded or contracted image 7 are individually displayed on respective screens 2a, 2b of plural display devices 1a, 1b. Thereby, relation between the whole original image 3 and the part specified by the area E can be easily understood and the image 7 displayed by expansion or contraction can be simultaneously observed. Consequently, image diagnosis based upon an X-ray tomogram, e.g., can be smoothly executed and a new expanding/contracting area can be easily moved to a required position of the original image 3 and specified based on the relation with the preceding area E.
