Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a video signal from deteriorating in the processing of respective types of video signals by converting the signal in synchronization with the driving timing of a solid-state image pickup element, and performing a video signal processing for a digital signal after conversion. CONSTITUTION:An analog video signal image-picked-up by photoelectric converting an optical signal incoming to a solid-state image pickup element CCD1 into an electric video signal, is converted into the digital signal at an A/D converting part 2. For the A/D converted digital signal, respective types of corrections such as a correction or a white balance are performed, and further, after a color separation by a color separation circuit 4, the digital signal is converted to the analog video signal, by a D/A converting part 5, and outputted and displayed on a display 6. Further, a timing generator 7 supplies a common timing clock (c), to the CCD1, the A/D converting part 2, the correcting circuit 3, etc., and synchronized. Thus, the signal in the respective processing states of the video signal is prevented from deteriorating, and the clear video can be obtained.
