リンダ部および燃料加圧室を有するシリンダと、
このシリンダの大径シリンダ部と小径シリンダ部
とに大径部と小径部とがそれぞれ摺動自在に設け
られたプランジヤとを備え、前記大径シリンダ部
に圧油を供給してプランジヤを大径シリンダ部側
から小径シリンダ部側へ移動させることにより、
小径シリンダ部によつて前記燃料加圧室内の燃料
を加圧して燃料噴射ノズルに供給し、前記プラン
ジヤが所定距離加圧移動した際に前記燃料加圧室
内部の燃料を燃料加圧室の外部に設けられた燃料
戻し通路を介して燃料加圧室の外部に戻すように
した油圧式燃料噴射装置において、前記燃料加圧
室の小径シリンダ部に続く部分に小径シリンダ部
より大径の大径加圧部と前記小径シリンダ部と同
径の小径加圧部とを順次形成するとともに、大径
加圧部に前記燃料噴射ノズルに燃料を圧送するた
めの燃料輸送路を接続し、前記小径シリンダ部に
一端が前記燃料戻し通路に接続され、他端が前記
小径部の外周面に開放された連通路を形成し、こ
の連通路の開放部から前記小径部の先端面までの
距離を前記大径加圧部の長さよりも短く設定した
