Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic having excellent affinity, safety, stability and humectant effect to skin and composed of a micro-emulsion produced by using a natural surfactant in combination with a polyhydric alcohol and a higher aliphatic alcohol which is liquid at normal temperature, thereby solubilizing the oily component in transparent state. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic having high compatibility with skin and excellent stability, safety and humectant effect to the skin is composed of a micro-emulsion produced by using (A) a natural surfactant such as lecithin, sucrose fatty acid ester or hydrolyzed elastin having high safety to human body as a solubilizing agent in combination with (B) a polyhydric alcohol such as 1,3-butylene glycol or glycerol and (C) a higher aliphatic alcohol which is liquid at normal temperature (e.g. jujube alcohol) as solubilization assistants and solubilizing (D) an oily component with the surfactant in transparent state. The amounts of the components A, B, C and D are preferably 0.01-8.0wt.%, 1.0-80wt.%, 0.001-0.8wt.% and 0.001-0.8wt.%based on the whole cosmetic composition, respectively and the weight ratio of C:D is preferably 1:(0.1-5).
