PURPOSE: To facilitate data processing and to keep the compatibility with a conventional device type by providing a converting means which converts every plural bits of picture information transmitted or received by a communication control means.
CONSTITUTION: A bit converting circuit 43a as the converting means is provided in a communication control module 31 as the communication control means. The bit conversion processing is performed in accordance with the classification of the communication control module and the classification of a connected system to transmit or receive picture information. Thus, the data processing is facilitated, and correspondences of address and data are equalized, and this device is matched to the standard of communication system, and the compatibility with a conventional device type and the extensibility of connectability to various communication equipments are kept.
