Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain large output by the use of a one with comparatively small capacity and facilitate design by connecting a high voltage rectifier to the secondary side of two high voltage transformers, supplying the rectification output therefrom to an X-ray tube, and furnishing an inverter circuit at the primary side of each high voltage transformer. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch 12 is normally connected with the a contact side, and the primary winding of a high voltage transformer 5B is connected with an inverter circuit 4B. The voltage of AC mains 1A is rectified and smoothed by a rectifier circuit 2A and a smoothing capacitor 3A and converted into AC voltage at 5kHz max. by an inverter circuit 4A. The output AC voltage of this inverter circuit 4A is converted into a high voltage by a high voltage transformer 5A and rectified and smoothed by a high voltage rectifier circuit 6A and a high voltage capacitor 7A to be impressed on the anode of an X-ray tube 8. This impressed voltage is sensed by a partial voltage resistance 9A for sensing of tube voltage and entered into an inverter drive circuit 10A. This inverter drive circuit 10A makes comparison with a set tube voltage signal and ON/OFF controls a power transistor of the inverter circuit 4A so that the set tube voltage is emitted.
