CONSTITUTION:A CPU 4 acting as a printing color designation means concurrently analyzes printing data and control data stored in an input buffer 3, and controls a toner selection flag register 5 which shows the selection of a toner color. At the same time, the CPU stores a dot pattern of characters based on printing data into an output page buffer 6. Further CPU 4 analyzes a batch of printing information to be entered and designates a desired printing color to printing information becoming the font page of this batch of printing information and causes a toner selection flag register 5 to store designated printing color data. Then the CPU 4 selectively outputs printing dot pattern structured in units of page against an output page buffer 6 based on stored printing color data, to each printing means.
