Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having a combination of the respective outstanding characteristics of polyamide and polypropylene, comprising a polyamide, propylene polymer, specific modified polyolefin and glass fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyamide (e.g. nylon 6, 66, 6.66), (B) 0.5-100pts.wt. of B1: a blend of low-grafted polyolefin with <0.5wt.% of an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride (hereafter referring to as said anhydride) grafted and high-grafted polyolefin with >=0.5wt.% of said anhydride grafted, or B2: a second blend of low-modified polyethylene, i.e. a three-component copolymer from ethylene, methyl methacrylate and said anhydride, with the content of said anhydride of <0.2wt.% and high-modified polyethylene with the content of said anhydride of >=0.2wt.%, or B3: a third blend of either low-grafted or high-grafted polyolefin in the component B1 and either low-modified or high-modified polyethylene in the component B2, (C) 5-150pts.wt. of a propylene polymer, and (D) 10-125 pts.wt. of glass fiber.
