Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain automatic tracking of a reception station without intermission by one tuner by receiving newly a station in an AF list when a broadcast during reception is silent so as to apply switching depending on the comparison between the electric field strength and a PI code. CONSTITUTION:A memory of a microcomputer 3 stores a list (AF list) of a station during transmission of a program and a confirming code (Pl code) corresponding to the program. Moreover, the computer 3 checks continuously the silent state (CW) and receives a station in the AF list and discriminates the same program in case of the CW state and an S meter output from an A/D converter 4 compares the electric field strength. When the electric field strength of a reception station is large and the same program is confirmed by the PI code, the reception destination is switched to the latter, but when the condition is not arranged, the station is restored to the original reception station. The processing above is implemented during the CW and the voice is not intermitted.
