Abstract

PURPOSE:To give superior positive chargeability and sharp chargeability by using a polymer of a specified monomer or a copolymer of said monomer and a vinyl monomer for a resin component. CONSTITUTION:The polymer of the monomer represented by the formula, where R being H, halogen atom, or 1-5C lower alkyl group, or the copolymer of said monomer and the vinyl monomer is used for the resin component of the triboelectrifying member. This member is obtained by dissolving or dispersing, when needed, into a solvent or a dispersion medium, coating the base of said member with the obtained coating fluid, and drying it. At that time, an organic filler, such as silica or carbon may be added in order to enhance reinforcing and abrasion resisting effects. The other vinyl monomer to be used for copolymerizing with said monomer is styrene, acrylate, methacrylate, or the like.
