Description
본 발명은 와셀린을 기재로 하는 화장용 유제에 관한 것이다. 와셀린은 지금까지 시판되고 있는 가장 오래된 피부 치료제중의 하나이다. 100여년 이상 동안 체세브로우(Chesebrough)사와 그의 승계인들은 이 물질을 바셀린(Vaseline)이라는 상표명으로 시판해 왔다. 이 제품의 장수 비결에는 그럴만한 이유가 있다. 이 제품의 차폐성 및 치료 특성은 이 제품이 건조하고 손상된 피부에 특히 효과적이게 한다.

본 발명에 따른 화장용 조성물은 건조 피부에 대하여 100% 와셀린과 본질적으로 동일한 보습, 보호 및 회복성을 부여하며, 나아가 우수한 상 안정성 및 미감을 갖는다.
본 발명자들은 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트와 알킬 락테이트의 배합물이 와셀린의 수성 에멀젼과 배합되어 미끄럽지 않은 피부 보호제를 얻을 수 있다는 것을 발견했다.
따라서, 조성물의 주요 소수성 성분은 와셀린이 될 것이다. 이 물질은 일반적으로 조성물 중량의 30% 이상 90%이하, 바람직하게는 30% 내지 50%의 양으로 존재한다.
물은 10 내지 65%, 바람직하게는 45 내지 65 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 것이 적절하다.
와셀린의 미끈거림을 제거하기 위한 본 발명의 필수 요건은 상표면 Dry-Flo(National Starch and Chemical Company, Bridgewater, New Jersey 제조)로 시판되고 있는 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트의 존재이다. 이 물질의 양은 조성물의 1 내지 10 중량%, 적정하게는 3.5 내지 5 중량%로 존재할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 화장용 조성물의 네째번 필수 성분은 C12-C15알킬 락테이트이다. 락테이트의 양은 일반적으로 조성물의 0.1 내지 10 중량%, 바람직하게는 3 내지 8 중량%, 최적으로는 4 내지 6 중량%이다. 알킬 락테이트는 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트와 함께 제품이 피부상에 적당히 미끄러지도록 하는데 필요하다.
Dry-Flo을 화장품 조성물에 배합할 때는, 그 물질을 와셀린에 첨가시키고 배합물을 38℃ 내지 100℃, 바람직하게는 75℃ 내지 80℃의 온도로 유지시키는 것이 바람직하다. 이 열처리는 Dry-Flo가 와셀린을 흡수하도록 조절된 양식으로 팽윤하여 미끈거리지 않는 효과를 내도록 해준다.
유용하게도 본 발명의 화장용 조성물들은 미정질 왁스(와셀린속에 본래 존재하는 것 이외의 것)도 또한 포함할 수 있다. 첨가되는 미정질 왁스의 양은 적절하게는 0.1 내지 10%, 바람직하게는 0.5 내지 2%, 최적으로는 0.8 내지 1.5%중량이다. 바람직한 미정질 왁스는 마이크로왁스(Microwax) 1275W/W 44이다.
전술한 필수 성분 이외에 본 발명의 화장용 조성물은 화장용 조성물에 전형적으로 배합되는 기타 성분들도 포함할 수 있다. 이러한 성분들에는, 연화제, 용매, 보습제, 중점제, 보존제, 향료 및 비타민이 포함된다.
연화제는 C8- C30지방알코올, C8- C30지방산, 트리글리세리드 오일, 실리콘 오일 및 다양한 에스테르와 같은 물질일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 스테아릴 알코올, 세틸 알코올, 스테아르산, 이소프로필 팔미테이트, 이소프로필 미리스테이트, 라놀린, 해바라기 오일, 달맞이꽃 오일, 대두 오일, 디메틸 폴리실록산 및 디메틸 폴리시클로실록산을 사용할 수 있다. 연화제의 양은 조성물의 0.5 내지 20 중량%의 양으로 사용될 수 있다. 가장 바람직한 것은 스테아릴 알코올과 세틸 알코올의 혼합물이다.
용매에는 에틸 알코올과 이소프로판올이 포함될 수 있다. 습윤제중에는 글리세린, 디글리세린, 솔비톨, 에틸렌 글리콜, 폴리에틸렌 글리콜 및 부틸렌 글리콜, 폴리프로필렌 글리콜 및 부틸렌글리콜이 포함된다. 가장 바람직한 것을 글리세린과 디글리세린의 1:1혼합물이다.
중점제는 상표명 카르보폴(Carbopol)로 시판되는 가교결합된 폴리아크릴레이트, 나트륨 카르복시메틸셀룰로오스, 히드록시에틸렌셀룰로오스, 히드록시프로필셀룰로오스 및 메틸 셀룰로오스와 같은 셀룰로오스, 및 크산탄, 카라기난 및 펙틴 검과 같은 천연 검중에서 선택될 수 있다. 가장 바람직한 것은 가교된 폴리아크릴레이트이며, 특히 비. 에프. 굳리치사(B. F. Goodrich Co.)의 Carbopol 934이다.
분제는 호분, 활석, 백토, 고령토, 전분, 콜로이드성 실리카, 스멕타이트 점토, 몬모릴로나이트 점토 및 화학적으로 개질된 마그네슘 알루미늄 실리케이트 등 일 수 있다.
보존제중에서 유용한 것을 메틸 파라벤, 프로필 파라벤, EDTA염, 칼륨 소르베이트, 칼륨 벤조에이트 및 DMDM 하이단토인 등이다.
본 발명의 화장용 조성물은 비타민 A 팔미테이트, 비타민 E 아세테이트, 나이아신, 비타민 C 및 이들의 배합물을 함유할 수 있다.
본 발명의 목적을 위해 유화제 또한 중요할 수 있다. 이러한 유화제들은 알콕실화 C8-C30지방산과 지방 알코올이다. 그러한 물질의 예로는 폴리옥시에틸렌 (4) 라우릴 에테르, 폴리옥시에틸렌 (8) 모노스테아레이트, 폴리옥사에틸렌(10) 세틸 에테르 및 폴리옥시에틸렌 (20) 스테아릴 에테르 등이다. 특히 바람직한 유화제는 세티올(Cetiol) 1414-E로 시판되고 있는 Myreth-3-Myristste이다.

다른 표시가 없는 한 본 명세서 및 청구 범위에서 모든 부, 퍼센트 및 비율은 조성물의 총 중량에 기초한 것이다.

Claims (6)
- (i) 와셀린 30 내지 95 중량%, (ii) 물 10 내지 65 중량%, (iii) 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트 1 내지 10 중량% 및 (iv) C12-C15알킬 락테이트 0.1 내지 10 중량%로 이루어지는 화장용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트가 3.5 내지 5 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 화장용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 와셀린에 천연적으로 존재하는 것을 초과하여 미정질 왁스 0.1 내지 10 중량%를 더 포함하는 화장용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 조성물 제조시 알루미늄 전분 옥테닐숙시네이트와 와셀린을 38℃ 내지 100℃의 온도에서 함께 배합시킨 화장용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 와셀린이 30 내지 50 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 화장용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 알킬 락테이트가 3 내지 8 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 화장용 조성물.
