- 소형 내연기관(16)의 배기가스 시스템(17)의 하우징(3)안에 있는 촉매변환기(1; 21, 22, 23, 24, 25; 36, 37)에 있어서, 상기 촉매변환기(1; 21, 22, 23, 24, 25; 36, 37)가 촉매작용 물질이 제공되어 감겨지고 그리고 배기가스가 흐를 수 있으며 하우징(3)에 대해서는 적어도 부분적으로 지지하는 통로(5)들을 형성하는 적어도 하나의 구조형 시트(2; 13)를 가지며, 상기 시트(2; 13)의 구조는 하우징(3)의 횡단면에 걸쳐 고려된 것으로서 폐쇄형 통로(5)에 의해 경계된 횡단면적이 하우징(3)의 전체 횡단면적의 적어도 절반을 형성하고, 상기 촉매절반부(1; 21, 22, 23, 24, 25; 36, 37)는 최대 2개층(11)을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매변환기.

- 전술한 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 촉매변환기가 전술한 항들 중 어느 한 항에 따른 적어도 2부분(33, 34)을 포함하는 사일렌서(19)안에 있고, 격벽(28)이 사일렌서(19)를 제 1 영역(29)과 제 2 영역(30)으로 분할하고, 격벽 및/또는 사일렌서(19)는 촉매변환기(1; 21, 22, 23, 24, 24; 36, 37)를 각각의 영역(29, 30)에 유지시키기 위한 수단(26, 27; 38, 39, 40)을 가지며 그리고 격벽은 사일렌서(19)를 통과하는 관통흐름 방향에 평행하여 배열된 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매변환기.
- 제 21 항 내지 제 26 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 사일렌서에 있어서, 2부분(33, 34)이 촉매변환기(21, 22, 23)를 유지시키는데 사용되는 상호결합용 폐쇄기구(79)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 사일렌서.
- 내연기관(16)의 배기가스 시스템(17)에, 특히 소형엔진의 사일렌서(19)에 배열된 촉매변환기 캐리어 몸체의 제조방법에 있어서,- 구조형 시트(49)가 적어도 일부 만곡된 길다란 몸체(50)둘레에 경사져 감겨지고,- 시트(19)가 감겨진 길다란 몸체(50)의 적어도 일부가 다수의 부분(51)들로 나뉘어지고, 그리고- 각각의 부분(51)이 촉매변환기 캐리어 몸체가 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매변환기 캐리어 몸체의 제조방법.
- 제 28 항에 있어서, 몸체(51; 58)가 구조형 시트(59)가 배열된 중공공동부를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 28 항 또는 제 29 항에 있어서, 시트(49; 54; 59) 및/또는 몸체(50, 58)가 감김동작에 앞서 촉매작용층(4)으로 피복된 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 28 항 또는 제 29 항에 있어서, 부분(51)이 촉매작용층(4)으로 피복된 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 전술한 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 몸체(50; 58)가 감겨지는 시트(49; 54; 59)보다 대략 1 내지 5배 더 두꺼운 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 전술한 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 감겨지는 시트(49; 54; 59)가 무단시트 스트립(53)으로부터 감겨지는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 전술한 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 제 1 항 내지 제 27 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 촉매변환기(1; 21, 22, 23, 24, 25; 36, 37)가 촉매변환기 캐리어몸체로부터 만들어진 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
