Description
Claims (55)
- (1) 고형의 열 발포성 중합체 조성물의 2개 이상의 세그먼트를 캐비티내로 삽입하고;(2) 상기 캐비티내의 열 발포성 중합체 조성물을, 상기 중합체 조성물의 세그먼트들을 발포시키는데 충분한 온도로 가열하며;(3) 상기 중합체 조성물의 세그먼트들을 발포시켜서 상기 캐비티의 적어도 일부분을 충전하는 포옴을 형성하되, 상기 가열 조건하에서, 상기 중합체 조성물의 하나 이상의 제 1 세그먼트는 하나 이상의 제 2 세그먼트보다 먼저 발포하여 상기 캐비티 내부에서 하나 이상의 방향에서 상기 제 2 세그먼트의 발포를 억제하는 지지체 또는 방벽을 형성하는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 발포된 제 1 세그먼트에 인접한 캐비티의 일부분이 하나 이상의 제 2 세그먼트의 발포후에 충전되지 않은 상태로 유지되는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 캐비티가 수직으로 배향되고, 발포된 제 1 세그먼트는 발포된 조성물 아래의 상기 캐비티의 일부분이 충전되지 않은 상태로 유지되도록 하나 이상의 제 2 세그먼트의 하향 팽창을 억제하는 것인 방법.
- 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 캐비티가 수직으로 배향되고, 발포된 제 1 세그먼트가 발포된 조성물 위의 상기 캐비티의 일부분이 충전되지 않은 상태로 유지되도록 하나 이상의 제 2 세그먼트의 상향 팽창을 억제하는 것인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 제 2 세그먼트는 120℃ 내지 300℃ 범위의 온도로 가열될 때 각각 그 초기 부피의 500% 이상까지 발포하며, 상기 제 1 세그먼트는 상기 제 2 세그먼트보다 더 낮은 온도에서 발포하는 것인 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트가 제 2 세그먼트와 상이한 화학 조성을 갖는 것인 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 상이한 발포제를 함유하는 것인 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 각각 발포제를 함유하고, 상기 제 1 세그먼트는 상기 발포제에 대한 촉진제를 함유하며, 상기 제 2 세그먼트는 상기 제 1 세그먼트에 비해서 상기 촉진제를 낮은 분율로 함유하는 것인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 동일한 화학 조성을 갖는 것인 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트의 평균 두께가 상기 제 2 세그먼트의 평균 두께의 50% 이하인 방법.
- 제 1 세그먼트가 제 2 세그먼트보다 더 높은 단위 부피당 표면적을 갖는 것인 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항중 어느 한 항의 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 발포하고 경화되어 폴리우레탄 및/또는 폴리우레아 중합체를 형성하는 것인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 1종 이상의 에폭시 수지를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 (1) 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체, (2) 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀 또는 비공액 디엔 또는 트리엔 코모노머의 가교성 혼성중합체, (3) 가수분해 가능한 실란기를 함유하는 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀의 혼성중합체, 또는 (4) 상기 중합체 2종 이상의 혼합물로 이루어진 군중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 중합체를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 적어도 α-올레핀과 1종 이상의 공중합 가능한 에틸렌계 불포화 산소 함유 단량체의 혼성중합체를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서, 상기 산소 함유 단량체가 아크릴레이트 단량체, 아크릴산, 메타크릴산 또는 비닐 알코올인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 제 2 세그먼트가 각각(a) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, (1) 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체, (2) 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀 또는 비공액 디엔 또는 트리엔 코모노머의 가교성 혼성중합체, (3) 가수분해 가능한 실란기를 함유하는 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀의 혼성중합체, 또는 (4) 상기 중합체들중 2종 이상의 혼합물 (여기서, 상기 단독중합체, 혼성중합체 또는 혼합물은 ASTM D 1238에 따라 190℃/2.16 kg 하중의 조건하에 측정하였을 때 0.1 내지 500 g/10분의 용융 지수를 가짐) 40 내지 99.5%;(b) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 상기 성분 (a)에 대한 열 활성화 가교제 (상기 가교제는 120℃ 이상 300℃ 이하의 온도로 가열시 활성화됨) 0 내지 7 중량%;(c) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 100℃ 이상 300℃ 이하의 온도로 가열 시 활성화되는 열 활성화 발포제 1 내지 25%;(d) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 상기 발포제에 대한 촉진제 0 내지 20%;(e) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 산소 함유 코모노머의 공중합체 0 내지 10%; 및(f) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여 1종 이상의 항산화제 0 내지 20%를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서, 상기 발포제가 활성화될 때 질소, 이산화탄소 또는 암모니아 기체를 방출하는 것인 방법.
- 제 18 항에 있어서, 상기 성분 (a)가 LDPE인 방법.
- 제 19 항에 있어서, 상기 성분 (a)의 용융 지수가 ASTM D 1238에 따라 190℃/2.16 kg 하중의 조건하에 측정하였을 때 0.05 내지 50 g/10분인 방법.
- 제 18 항에 있어서, 상기 성분 (a)의 용융 지수가 ASTM D 1238에 따라 190℃/2.16 kg 하중의 조건하에 측정하였을 때 0.2 내지 50 g/10분인 방법.
- 제 21 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 퍼옥사이드, 퍼옥시에스테르 또는 퍼옥시 카보네이트 화합물인 방법.
- 제 22 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 디큐밀 퍼옥사이드인 방법.
- 제 22 항에 있어서, 상기 발포제가 아조디카본아미드인 방법.
- 제 24 항에 있어서, 상기 촉진제가 산화아연 또는 산화아연과 1종 이상의 카르복실산 아연의 혼합물인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 25 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 캐비티가 자동차량의 부품, 조립체 또는 부조립체(subassembly)에 포함된 캐비티인 방법.
- 제 26 항에 있어서, 상기 부품, 조립체 또는 부조립체가 소성 경화성 코팅으로 코팅되어 있고, 상기 열 발포 단계는 상기 소성 경화성 코팅을 경화시킬 때 수행하는 방법.
- 제 27 항에 있어서, 상기 부품, 조립체 또는 부조립체가 보강 튜브, 보강 채널, 락커 패널, 필러 캐비티 또는 전면 하중 비임인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 25 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 캐비티가 기기, 해양 교통 수단, 우주 교통 수단 또는 건축 자재에 포함된 캐비티인 방법.
- 적어도 제 1 세그먼트와 제 2 세그먼트를 포함하고, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 제 2 세그먼트는 각각 120℃ 내지 300℃ 범위의 온도로 가열했을 때 그 초기 부피의 500% 이상까지 발포하며, 상기 제 1 세그먼트는 상기 제 2 세그먼트보다 더 낮은 온도에서 발포하는 것인, 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트가 제 2 세그먼트와 상이한 화학 조성을 갖는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 31 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 상이한 발포제를 함유하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 31 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 각각 발포제를 함유하고, 상기 제 1 세그먼트는 상기 발포제에 대한 촉진제를 함유하며, 상기 제 2 세그먼트는 상기 제 1 세그먼트에 비해서 상기 촉진제를 낮은 분율로 함유하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 31 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트는 열 전도성 충전제를 함유하고, 상기 제 2 세그먼트는 열 전도성 충전제를 함유하지 않거나 낮은 함량으로 함유하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 상기 제 2 세그먼트가 동일한 화학 조성을 갖는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 35 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트의 평균 두께가 상기 제 2 세그먼트의 평균 두께의 80% 이하인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 36 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트의 평균 두께가 상기 제 2 세그먼트의 평균 두께의 50% 이하인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 35 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트가 상기 제 2 세그먼트보다 더 높은 단위 부피당 표면적을 갖는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 발포하고 경화되어 폴리우레탄 및/또는 폴리우레아 중합체를 형성하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 1종 이상의 에폭시 수지를 포함하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 세그먼트가 (1) 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체, (2) 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀 또는 비공액 디엔 또는 트리엔 코모노머의 가교성 혼성중합체, (3) 가수분해 가능한 실란기를 함유하는 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀의 혼성중합체, 또는 (4) 상기 중합체 2종 이상의 혼합물로 이루어진 군중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 중합체를 포함하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 적어도 α-올레핀과 1종 이상의 공중합 가능한 에틸렌계 불포화 산소 함유 단량체의 혼성중합체를 포함하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 42 항에 있어서, 상기 산소 함유 단량체가 아크릴레이트 단량체, 아크릴산, 메타크릴산 또는 비닐 알코올인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 조성물.
- 제 30 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세그먼트와 제 2 세그먼트가 각각(a) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, (1) 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체, (2) 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀 또는 비공액 디엔 또는 트리엔 코모노머의 가교성 혼성중합체, (3) 가수분해 가능한 실란기를 함유하는 가교성 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 C3-C20 α-올레핀의 혼성중합체, 또는 (4) 상기 중합체들중 2종 이상의 혼합물 (여기서, 상기 단독중합체, 혼성중합체 또는 혼합물은 ASTM D 1238에 따라 190℃/2.16 kg 하중의 조건하에 측정하였을 때 0.1 내지 500 g/10분의 용융 지수를 가짐) 40 내지 99.5%;(b) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 상기 성분 (a)에 대한 열 활성화 가교제 (상기 가교제는 120℃ 이상 300℃ 이하의 온도로 가열시 활성화됨) 0 내지 7 중량%;(c) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 100℃ 이상 300℃ 이하의 온도로 가열시 활성화되는 열 활성화 발포제 1 내지 25%;(d) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여, 상기 발포제에 대한 촉진제 0 내지 20%;(e) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여 에틸렌과 1종 이상의 산소 함유 코모노머의 공중합체 0 내지 10%; 및(f) 조성물의 중량을 기준으로 하여 1종 이상의 항산화제 0 내지 20%를 포함하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 폴리올레핀 조성물.
- 제 44 항에 있어서, 상기 발포제가 활성화될 때 질소, 이산화탄소 또는 암모니아 기체를 방출하는 것인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 폴리올레핀 조성물.
- 제 45 항에 있어서, 상기 성분 (a)가 LDPE인 고형의 비점착성 열 발포성 폴리올레핀 조성물.
