도 2는 컬럼 반응기와 함께 사용하기 위한 촉매 취급 시스템의 개략도이다.
Claims (13)
- 이종 촉매 반응(heterogeneous catalytic reaction)에 사용하기 위한 장치로서,
(a) 각각 소정 체적의 액체와 고체 촉매의 입자의 장입량(charge)을 그 위에 유지하도록 구성되고, 서로 포개어져 장착된 복수 개의 트레이를 포함하는 컬럼 반응기;
(b) 최상단 트레이 위로 액상 반응제를 도입하기 위한 수단;
(c) 최하단 트레이 밑으로 기상 반응제를 도입하기 위한 수단;
(d) 상기 최하단 트레이 밑으로부터 액상의 반응후(post-reaction) 스트림을 제거하기 위한 수단;
(e) 상기 최상단 트레이 위로부터 기상의 반응후 스트림을 제거하기 위한 수단;
(f) 증기를 하부로부터 트레이로 유입시킬 수 있도록 구성되고, 각각의 트레이와 연관되어 있는 증기 상승 수단(upcomer means);
(g) 하측 트레이에서 상기 컬럼 반응기로 액체를 도입하기 전에 해당 트레이 및 상기 컬럼 반응기로부터 액체를 제거하도록 구성되고, 각각의 트레이와 연관되어 있는 언더플로우 수단(underflow means);
(h) 트레이로부터 제거되는 상기 액체를, 하나 이상의 하측 트레이를 바이패스하도록 일시적으로 인도하여, 상기 하나 이상의 바이패스된 트레이 하부에 위치한 트레이에서 상기 컬럼 반응기에 재도입하는 수단;
(i) 상기 하나 이상의 바이패스된 트레이로부터 액체와 촉매를 제거하는 수단; 및
(j) 상기 하나 이상의 바이패스된 트레이 상에 액체와 촉매 인벤토리(inventory)를 교체하는 수단
을 포함하는, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 언더플로우 수단이 필터를 포함하는, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 언더플로우 수단을 통해 제거된 액체는, 상기 트레이 상의 액체 레벨이 제어될 수 있도록 하는 수단을 포함하는 포트(pot)로 이송되는, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 액체 레벨을 제어하는 수단이 배플(baffle)인, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 증기 상승 수단이 스파저(sparger)를 포함하는, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
필터를 더 포함하며, 상기 바이패스된 트레이로부터의 촉매가 상기 필터를 통해 상기 액체로부터 제거되는, 이종 촉매 반응용 장치. - 이종 촉매 반응을 수행하기 위한 방법으로서,
(a) 액상 반응제를 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항의 장치에 공급하는 단계;
(b) 기상 반응제를 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항의 장치에 공급하는 단계;
(c) 상기 액상 반응제와 상기 기상 반응제를 향류(countercurrent)로 상기 컬럼 반응기에 통과시키고, 반응이 일어날 수 있도록 상기 반응기를 반응 촉매 하에 유지하는 단계;
(d) 필요에 따라,
(i) 트레이로부터의 액체를 상기 트레이 하부에 위치한 하나 이상의 트레이를 바이패스하도록 인도하는 단계;
(ii) 상기 하나 이상의 바이패스된 트레이 상의 액체와 촉매를 제거하는 단계;
(ⅲ) 상기 하나 이상의 바이패스된 트레이에 장입량의 액체와 촉매를 보충하는 단계;
(ⅳ) 상기 트레이로부터의 액체를 앞서 바이패스된 상기 하나 이상의 트레이로 인도하는 단계
를 포함하는 촉매 교체 공정을 수행하는 단계;
(e) 액상의 반응후 스트림을 회수하는 단계; 및
(f) 기상의 반응후 스트림을 회수하는 단계
를 포함하는,
이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 제거된 촉매로부터 상기 제거된 액체를 분리하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 이종 촉매 공정이 반응성 증류 공정인, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 반응성 증류 공정이 이온교환 촉매의 존재 하에 수행되는, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제7항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 이종 촉매 공정이 에스테르화 공정인, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 에스테르화 공정이,
설폰기나 카르복시기 또는 그 두 기를 모두 가지는 입자상(particulate) 이온교환 수지로부터 선택되는 고체 에스테르화 촉매의 존재 하에, 모노-, 디- 및 폴리카르복시산, 그의 무수물, 및 이것들의 혼합물로부터 선택되는 카르복시산 성분과, 1가-, 2가- 및 다가 알코올, 페놀, 및 이것들의 혼합물로부터 선택되는 알코올 성분의 반응에 의해 카르복시산 에스테르를 제조하는 공정인, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법. - 제7항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 컬럼 반응기의 서로 다른 트레이 상에서, 서로 상이한 촉매가 사용되는, 이종 촉매 반응의 수행 방법.
