Claims (36)
- 상부 척추 부재와 하부 척추 부재 사이에 정의된 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법으로서,
상기 척추간 공간 내에 상부 플레이트와 하부 플레이트를 포함하는 플레이트 시스템을 위치시키는 단계(positioning);
상기 상부 플레이트가 상기 상부 척추 부재와 결합되고 상기 하부 플레이트가 상기 하부 척추 부재와 결합되도록, 임플란트가 상기 척추간 공간 내로 진입되도록 상기 상부 플레이트와 상기 하부 플레이트 사이에 상기 임플란트를 전진시키는 단계(advancing)를 포함하며,
상기 상부 플레이트와 상기 하부 플레이트 사이에 상기 임플란트를 전진시킴에 따라, 상기 상부 척추 부재와 상기 하부 척추 부재는 벌어지는(distracted), 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트를 전진시키는 단계는 장치를 사용하는 단계를 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 장치는 기계 장치(mechanical device) 또는 공압 장치(pneumatic device)를 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트를 전진시키는 단계는 상기 임플란트를 가이딩 어셈블리를 통해 적어도 부분적으로 전진시키는 단계를 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 가이딩 어셈블리는 상부 및 하부 가이딩 부재 또는 플레이트를 포함하며,
상기 상부 및 하부 가이딩 부재 또는 플레이트는, 상기 임플란트가 상기 척추간 공간 내로 전진될 때, 상기 상부 및 하부 플레이트의 상응하는 영역에 분리 가능하게 결합되는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트를 전진시키는 단계는 상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 중 적어도 어느 하나의 적어도 하나의 결합 부재 또는 구성을 전개시키며(deploy),
상기 적어도 하나의 결합 부재 또는 구성은 인접한 척추 부재의 적어도 일부와 결합되는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 결합 부재 또는 구성은 이빨(tooth) 또는 스파이크(spike)를 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트는 레일 시스템을 통해 상기 상부 및 하부 플레이트 사이에 전진되는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 레일 시스템은
상기 임플란트 상의 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성; 및
상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부를 포함하며,
상기 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성은 상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상기 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부 내에서 슬라이딩 이동되는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 레일 시스템은
상기 임플란트 상의 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부; 및
상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상응하는 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성을 포함하며,
상기 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성은 상기 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부 내에서 슬라이딩 이동되는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트는 부드러운 외부 표면을 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트는 이빨 또는 다른 결합 부재를 포함하지 않는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트는 PEEK 또는 티타늄(titanium)을 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 상부 및 하부 플레이트는 적어도 하나의 금속 또는 합금을 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제14항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 금속 또는 합금은 티타늄 및 스테인리스 스틸 중 적어도 어느 하나를 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트가 상기 척추간 공간 내에 고정된 이후에 상기 임플란트의 개구부를 통해 적어도 하나의 스크류를 고정하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제16항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 스크류는 상기 상부 또는 하부 플레이트의 적어도 일부를 통해서 통과하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제16항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 스크류는 상기 상부 또는 하부 척추 부재의 적어도 일부를 통해서 통과하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 척추간 공간에 대한 최소한의 침습 엑세스(invasive access)를 제공하기 위해서 대상체(subject)를 통해 측방 통로(lateral passage)를 생성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 척추간 공간 내부 및/또는 부근의 대상체의 생체 조직(native tissue)을 제거하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 척추간 공간 내에 임플란트를 삽입하는 방법. - 상부 플레이트 및 하부 플레이트를 포함하며, 대상체의 척추간 공간 내에 배치되는 플레이트 시스템;
상기 척추간 공간 내에 고정되도록 상기 상부 플레이트 및 상기 하부 플레이트 사이로 전진되어 배치되는 임플란트;를 포함하며,
상기 임플란트가 상기 상부 플레이트 및 상기 하부 플레이트 사이로 전진될 때, 상기 상부 플레이트는 상부 척추 부재와 결합되고, 상기 하부 플레이트는 하부 척추 부재와 결합되며,
상기 상부 플레이트와 상기 하부 플레이트 사이에 상기 임플란트를 전진시킴에 따라, 상기 상부 척추 부재와 상기 하부 척추 부재는 벌어지는(distracted), 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제21항에 있어서,
상부 및 하부 슬라이드를 포함하는 가이딩 어셈블리를 더 포함하며,
상기 상부 슬라이드는 상기 상부 플레이트에 분리 가능하게 결합되며, 상기 하부 슬라이드는 상기 하부 플레이트에 분리 가능하게 결합되는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제22항에 있어서,
상기 상부 플레이트 및 상기 하부 플레이트 중 적어도 어느 하나는 적어도 하나의 결합 부재를 포함하며, 상기 임플란트가 상기 상부 플레이트 및 상기 하부 플레이트 사이로 전진될 때 상기 적어도 하나의 결합 부재는 인접한 척추 부재의 일부와 결합되는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제23항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 결합 부재는 이빨(tooth), 스파이크(spike) 또는 가시(barb)를 포함하는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제21항에 있어서,
상기 임플란트는 레일 시스템을 통해 상기 상부 및 하부 플레이트 사이에 전진되는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제25항에 있어서,
상기 레일 시스템은
상기 임플란트 상의 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성; 및
상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부를 포함하며,
상기 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성은 상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상기 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부 내에서 슬라이딩 이동되는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제25항에 있어서,
상기 레일 시스템은
상기 임플란트 상의 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부; 및
상기 상부 플레이트 또는 상기 하부 플레이트 상의 상응하는 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성을 포함하며,
상기 적어도 하나의 돌출 부재 또는 구성은 상기 상응하는 적어도 하나의 홈 또는 함몰부 내에서 슬라이딩 이동되는, 척추 유합술 시스템. - 제21항에 있어서,
