Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- 불소단량체 단위, 및 단량체의 총량을 기준으로 하여 0.1 내지 25중량%의 잔류 관능기(residual functional group)를 포함하는 개질된 불소중합체(fluoropolymer)로서, 상기 개질된 불소중합체 내의 상기 잔류 관능기는 하나 이상의 저분자량의 중합체성 관능성 연쇄이동제로부터의 잔류 관능기를 포함하는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 개질된 불소중합체가 2중량% 초과 내지 15중량%의 상기 잔류 관능기를 포함하는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 개질된 불소중합체가 2.2 내지 10중량%의 상기 잔류 관능기를 포함하는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 개질된 불소중합체가 상기 하나 이상의 불소중합체 블록 및 저분자량의 중합체성 관능성 연쇄이동제의 상기 잔류 관능기의 하나 이상의 블록을 포함하는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 저분자량의 중합체성 관능성 연쇄이동제의 분자량이 20,000g/mole 미만인, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 잔류 관능기가 카복실, 하이드록실, 실록산, 에스테르, 에테르, 설폰산, 인산, 포스폰산, 황산, 아미드 및 에폭시 그룹, 또는 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 관능성을 포함하는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 불소단량체 단위가 불화비닐리덴(VDF), 불화비닐(VF), 트리플루오로에틸렌, 테트라플루오로에틸렌(TFE), 에틸렌 테트라플루오로에틸렌, 클로로트리플루오로에틸렌(CTFE) 및 헥사플루오로프로필렌(HFP), 3,3,3-트리플루오로프로펜, 2,3,3,3-테트라플루오로프로펜, 에틸렌 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 불소중합체가 불화비닐리덴의 단독중합체이거나, 또는 71 내지 99중량%의 불화비닐리덴과 1 내지 29중량%의 하나 이상의 기타 불소단량체와의 공중합체인, 개질된 불소중합체.
- 관능화된 불소중합체의 형성 방법으로서, 상기 방법은,
a) 적어도 하나의 라디칼 개시제, 적어도 하나의 관능성 저분자량 중합체성 연쇄이동제, 적어도 하나의 계면활성제 및 적어도 하나의 불소단량체를 포함하는 수성 에멀젼을 형성하는 단계,
b) 상기 적어도 하나의 불소단량체의 중합을 개시하는 단계,
c) 임의로, 불소단량체, 개시제 및 임의의 저분자량의 중합체성 관능성 연쇄이동제를 포함하는, 지연 공급물(delayed feed)을 첨가하는 단계, 및
d) 중합을 계속하여 관능화된 불소중합체를 형성하는 단계
를 포함하는, 관능화된 불소중합체의 형성 방법. - 제9항에 있어서, 상기 방법이 불소계면활성제를 사용하지 않는, 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 관능성 연쇄이동제가 총 단량체를 기준으로 하여 약 0.1 내지 25중량%의 총량으로 존재하는, 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 관능성 연쇄이동제가, 반응기에 공급된 총 단량체를 기준으로 하여 2.0중량% 초과 내지 15중량%의 총량으로 존재하는, 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 관능성 연쇄이동제가, 반응기에 공급된 총 단량체를 기준으로 하여 2.2중량% 내지 10중량%의 총량으로 존재하는, 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 불소단량체가 불화비닐리덴(VDF), 불화비닐(VF), 트리플루오로에틸렌, 테트라플루오로에틸렌(TFE), 에틸렌 테트라플루오로에틸렌, 클로로트리플루오로에틸렌(CTFE) 및 헥사플루오로프로필렌(HFP), 3,3,3-트리플루오로프로펜, 2,3,3,3-테트라플루오로프로펜 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는, 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 불소중합체가 불화비닐리덴의 단독중합체이거나, 또는 71 내지 99중량%의 불화비닐리덴과 1 내지 29중량%의 하나 이상의 기타 불소단량체와의 공중합체인, 방법.
- 제1항의 개질된 불소중합체로부터 형성된 물품(article).
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 물품이 배터리 또는 커패시터용 전극 또는 세퍼레이터(separator) 구성요소(component); 다공성 막 또는 중공 섬유 막; 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 상기 개질된 불소중합체로 코팅된 물품, 및 상기 개질된 불소중합체가 불소중합체 층과 상기 불소중합체 층과 비상용성 중합체 층과의 사이에 타이 층(tie layer)을 형성한 다층 구조물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는, 물품.
