Abstract
본 발명은 엔진 배기 시스템에 관한 것으로, 이는 촉매 변환장치가 이의 효과적인 작동 온도에 도달하기 전에 엔진 시동(냉각-스타트)동안 배출되는 탄화수소의 양을 감소시키기 위한 것이다. 상기 시스템은 흐름조절장치, 특히 이중-금속 날개를 포함하는데, 이는 제1온도에서 대부분의 배기가스를 탄화수소 흡착을 위해 분자체 구조물로 유도하는 제1위치를 위치하고, 제2온도에서는 엔진 배기가스가 분자체 구조물을 우회하여 라이트-오프 촉매에서 번-오프 촉매로 직접 유도하는 제2위치를 위치한다.

제2도는 흡착제가 하우징의 절반을 차지하는 본 발명에 따른 일실시예로서; 또한 이중-금속성 날개의 상대적 위치를 나타내는 종단면도; 제3도는 주촉매 변환장치 또는 3원 촉매가 하우징의 다른 절반에 위치하는 제2도의 또다른 실시예의 종단면도; 제4도는 흡착제가 코어를 구비하는 허니컴 구조물이고;상기의 제1(닫힌)위치에서는 이중-금속성 날개가 실질적인 모든 배기가스를 흡착제로 통과시키도록 코어를 본 발명에 따른 다른 실시예의 단면도.
Claims (10)
- 라이트-오프 촉매, 상기 라이드-오프 촉매 하부의 하우징 및 상기 하우징 하의 번-오프 촉매를 포함하고, 상기 번-오프 촉매는 라이트-오프 온도를 가져서 탄화수소를 이산화탄소 및 물로 전화시키며, 상기 하우징은 입구 또는 상부말단 및 출구 또는 하부말단을 구비하면서 제1영역 및 제2영역을 포함하고, 상기 영역은 입구에서 출구말단까지 세로방향으로 연장된 분할벽에 의해 분리되며, 상기 영역중 하나는 그 내부에 배치된 제1온도 및 제2온도를 가지는 탄화수소를 흡착하기 위한 분자체 구조물을 구비하고, 상기 하우징의 상부말단에 고정 부착된 흐름조절장치는 분자체의 온도가 제1온도 미만일 때 제1위치에 위치하며, 상기 분자체가 제1온도일 때 제2위치에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1온도가 80-100℃의 범위이고 또는 제2온도가 300-400℃의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 흐름조절장치는 제1위치에서 실질적으로 모든 배기가스를 분자체 구조물로 유도하여 탄화수소를 흡착시킨 다음 번오프 촉매로 유도하고, 제2위치에서는 대부분의 배기가스를 열린 또는 자유-흐름 영역으로 유도하고, 소량의 배기가스를 분자체 구조물로 유도한 후, 번-오프 촉매로 유도하는 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 흐름조절장치는 번오프 촉매가 실질적으로 부분의 배기가스를 번-오프 촉매로 유도하고, 소량의 배기가스를 분자체 구조물로 유도하는데, 이는 번-오프 촉매로 통과시키는 라이트-오프 온도에 도달한 후, 제2위치하고, 또한 온도에 민감한 이중-금속 날개를 포함하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 소량의 배기가스는 번-오프 촉매가 라이트-오프 온도에 도달할 때 상기 분자체 구조물이 탈착온도에 도달하기에 충분한 양이며, 선택적으로 상기 양은 총 배기가스의 5재지 50%의 범위임을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 하우징은 일산화탄소, 물 및 Nox를 이산화탄소, 물 및 질소를 전환시키는 3원 촉매 또는 하우징의 제2영역에 배치된 다른 주촉매 전환장치를 더욱 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 분자체 구조물은 기판상에 지지된 제올라이트 및 바인더의 와쉬코트 슬러리를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 기판 및/또는 분자체 구조물은 허니컴 구조물임을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 흡착제는 촉매를 더욱 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 엔진 배기시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 분자체 구조물은 ZSM-5, 베타, 초-안정 Y, 몰덴나이트 및 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택된 제올라이트임인 것을 특징으로 하는 탄화수소를 함유하는 엔진 배기가스용 엔진 배기시스템.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
