Abstract
Le procédé et le système selon les modes de réalisation préférés de la présente invention permettent d'optimiser l'administration de médicaments en aérosol. En particulier, le système selon un mode de réalisation préféré de la présente invention permet l'administration d'un surfactant pulmonaire exogène à des patients très jeunes (par exemple, des nouveaux-nés prématurés). Un cathéter (101) transfère un surfactant atomisé directement dans la région rétro-pharyngée afin d'augmenter l'efficacité de l'administration de médicament sans être invasif : ceci est particulièrement important pour les patients très jeunes, tels que les nouveaux-nés prématurés souffrant du syndrome de détresse respiratoire du nouveau-né (nrds). Il est possible d'accoupler le cathéter à un échafaudage rigide (par exemple, métallique) pour accroître la rigidité du dispositif et améliorer la facilité des opérations de positionnement. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de la présente invention, l'administration du médicament atomisé est réalisée au moyen d'une technique de projection par air forcé.
