Abstract
La présente invention concerne des méthodes permettant de détecter une quantité d'adn qui provient de cellules d'un type donné, l'échantillon comprenant un tel adn mélangé avec de l'adn qui ne provient pas de telles cellules. De telles méthodes sont basées sur une méthylation différentielle, au niveau de certaines régions, de l'adn qui provient du type donné de cellules par comparaison avec l'adn mélangé. De telles méthodes peuvent être appliquées en particulier à la détection, à partir d'un liquide biologique provenant d'une femme enceinte, de l'adn acellulaire provenant d'un fœtus ou du placenta d'un fœtus, ou à la détection, à partir d'un liquide biologique provenant d'un individu, de l'adn acellulaire provenant de cellules d'une tumeur. Par conséquent, de telles méthodes ont une utilité diagnostique, pronostique et/ou prédictive pour détecter un risque accru d'un individu souffrant d'un état de santé tel qu'une prééclampsie ou un cancer ou de développer celui-ci, et/ou pour faciliter des méthodes (ultérieures) diagnostiques, pronostiques et/ou prédictives telles que la détection de la trisomie chromosomique dans un fœtus, y compris des grossesses gémellaires. La présente invention concerne également des compositions, des kits, des produits-programmes informatiques et d'autres aspects qui sont utilisés dans la pratique de telles méthodes, utiles pour celle-ci ou associés à celle-ci.
