Abstract
La présente invention concerne de manière générale un dispositif et un procédé pour améliorer l'atomisation du carburant dans un carburateur ou un appareil similaire. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne une buse de carburant unidirectionnelle conçue pour améliorer l'atomisation du carburant injecté dans la chambre de mélange carburant-air d'un moteur à combustion. La buse de carburant comprend une pluralité de perforations à travers une moitié du corps cylindrique de la buse et une pluralité d'alvéoles disposées sur la surface extérieure de l'autre moitié du corps cylindrique. Chacune des perforations relie la surface interne et la surface externe du corps cylindrique et se termine par un générateur de turbulences d'air, étant délimitée par une cavité hémisphérique au niveau de la surface externe. De même, chacune des alvéoles est conçue avec un générateur de turbulences d'air, mais ne fait pas saillie à travers la surface interne. Ces générateurs de turbulences d'air, en réponse à la pression d'air, créent une turbulence sur la surface de la buse de carburant qui retarde la séparation de l'air de la surface de la buse de carburant, ce qui entraîne une rupture plus poussée des gouttelettes de carburant. En effet, ceci augmente l'atomisation du carburant qui se mélange avec l'air, ce qui améliore l'efficacité de combustion du carburant du moteur. Une efficacité de combustion du carburant plus élevée est en outre obtenue par l'éjection unidirectionnelle et à vitesse élevée du carburant à travers les perforations en direction du moteur à combustion.
